Ousman Umar

It took Ousman Umar five years to go from Ghana to Barcelona.

When he was 13 years old, he left his Ghana, crossed the Sahara on foot, the sea by boat and saw most of his fellow travellers dying on the road, among them his best friend. A time when his dream of finding paradise was falling apart little by little.

He covered 21,333 km to get to Barcelona and after after months of sleeping in the street, he was taken in by a family. he began his studies and worked as a bike mechanic.

In 2012, with his first savings, he founded NASCO Feeding Minds with the aim of improving the education in his country of origin.
